1. Support, equip & empower those affected by crime through biblically-based teaching and rehabilitation programmes working effectively and productively with DCS, with integrity and commitment to excellence
2. Deliver effective Rehabilitation & Transformation Programmes with the aim of reducing recidivism, in partnership with Evangelical Churches, DCS and FBO’s
3. Network with other role-players/organisations who can complement and contribute to our vision
4. Equip and enable our workers to become more effective in their ministry, encouraging staff development through training and assessment

Hope Prison Ministry Objectives

• Prioritise rehabilitation & transformation of inmates
• Respond to the spiritual & emotional needs of inmates, their families and ex-offenders
• Establish relationships with DCS staff and respond to their spiritual & emotional needs
• Support re-integration of inmates into the community
• Seek to bring Restorative Justice in terms of reconciliation between offender and his/her family, the community, and the victim or victim’s family
• Recruit and appoint staff to work within the Correctional Services setting and provide training, personal development and ongoing support
• Promote Prison Ministry within Churches and Communities
